    Kia ora Michael, nga mihi, good idea. Something very difficult to do back on at the cost of living is going higher all the time. Milk is not even less that $5 dollars these days.

    Last year in India friends were given a task to live on 10 rupee per day. The Dalits and Adivasi and very poor of India have to beg and scrape for that kind of money. Here in Cambodia .50c perday is the cost of some people and families.

    Of course comparing NZ to the more poorer countries tells us that the disparities are not only global but local too. I’ve learnt not to compare these things because back home on the East Coast some families are really struggling just to get kai on the table. And families in third world countries are struggling just to get kai. Poverty comes at people at all sorts of levels it is both real and psychological too to many.
